“Needles Are Not That Scary” is an educational booklet designed for VCU School of Health to address a critical issue: vaccine hesitancy caused by fear of pain in children. According to research cited in the guide, over 50% of parents express concerns about pain during childhood immunization. This project translates medical evidence into an accessible, emotionally supportive, and visually engaging printed guide for caregivers. Through editorial design, visual storytelling, and structured information hierarchy, the booklet transforms clinical recommendations into clear, actionable steps parents can follow before, during, and after vaccination.
